Coverage: A Rip-Off Story
Ronald
Ronin could have made a lot of money just by ripping people off
into buying dental coverage plans that actually bleed them
of money, instead of saving them some money.
But
Ronald is choosing the road less traveled in sales. He's talking
honestly to clients, even if he's not able to clinch as many clients
as his neighbor John, who also sells dental coverage plans.
John
is Ronald's total opposite. He loves to dazzle his prospects with
special offers that, he says, are incidental to the dental coverage
plans. John is also kind of the windy type – he loves to
brag about his latest exploit in dental coverage rip-offs to Ronald
whenever they'd go out for beer.
"I
totally believe it, man," John began,"There really is
a sucker born every minute. Can you believe this guy got a dental
coverage plan from me when I said he can get a ticket to the Bermuda
triangle after his eleventh visit to the dentist?"
Ronald
shook his head as he took the beer bottle to his mouth. "You
must being having fun selling your dental coverage plans."
"Heck,
I do. I can be the richest man in the world in this dental coverage
business!"
It
went on like that for many months before John knocked on Ronald's
door with bruises on his otherwise angelic face.
Ronald
was wide-eyed to see John, but not really surprised. He let John
settle in his couch before talking to him.
"So.
Did one of your dental coverage clients just beat you up?"
John
looked surprised. "How did you know, man?"
Ronald
outlined a smile. "Been there, done that."
"Really?

Ronald
shook his head. "No way, man. I started on a clean slate

I ripped off people with another dental coverage company."
John
was too dumbfounded to say anything after that. He takes his hats
off to Ronald for his extensive dental coverage experience.
